Australia cameraman joins Iran fest

Famed Australian cinematographer Peter James has held workshops on the sidelines of the Int’l Urban Film Festival in Iran.

Award-winning Australian cinematographer who grabbed Australian Cinematographers Society's (ACS) Milli Award four times held workshops for Iranian filmmakers.

Born 1947 in Sydney, James is an Australian cinematographer and director of photography. He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.

Organized by the Art and Culture Organization of Tehran Municipality, Iran urban festival’s film categories include Iranian Cinema (competition), International Cinema (competition) and Neighborhood section.

The event's main focus is on the significance of city and urbanism in human life. The fest seeks to promote empathy and moral values in cinematic works, offering a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences among the cities of the world.

The 6th International Urban Film Festival is underway from July 31-August 5.
